The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
My take on this goes as follows,
Integrated awareness brings one to a state of attention where inner conflict doesn’t distort present experience; when one is centred in the present, a form of vitality is experienced. Inner understanding distinguishes the separation projected by the misunderstood concept ot self the mind projects onto one’s living experience. One cannot comprehend the freshness of being if the internal dialogue consistently repeats its cycles in the background. Identification to thoughts the mind projects creates majority of the misery in one’s experience of being. The wholesome experience of living is possible when inner attention dissolves the inner split consciously; distance is required. The ability to perceive without self-definition and the idea of personality hindering the approach is vital. Outward change is elusive and will not bring about real change. Only by dismantling the old structures fixated by the insecure mind can one experience the freshness of living. Unconditional acceptance and love paves the way to inner clarity. Life is simple and wholesome only when one can consciously distinguish one’s own illusions against reality as it is. With conscious awareness, one can regulate one’s emotions more effectively; inner distance sets one free from the prisonlike state of the mind. Be aware, be conscious.
